Introduction
============

*Koch* is a GNU/Linux HPC compute node managed by RTIS and available to [the Department of Microbiology & Immunology](https://micro.otago.ac.nz/) researchers.

It is provided to run memory and CPU intensive interactive and non-interactive jobs for computing usecases where [NeSI](https://www.nesi.org.nz) is not a good fit. 
Koch does not have GPU cores available.
