Almeida
=======

*Almeida* is a GNU/Linux HPC compute node managed by RTIS and available to `the Department of Microbiology & Immunology <https://micro.otago.ac.nz/>`_ researchers.

It is provided to run memory and CPU intensive interactive and non-interactive jobs for computing usecases where `NeSI <https://www.nesi.org.nz>`_ is not a good fit. 
Almeida does not have GPU cores available.

Please be considerate of other users when running your jobs and workloads; There currently is no job scheduling or any other automatic resource limiting in effect.

Getting access
--------------

Once you have been onboarded, you should be able to access Almeida using your University credentials.
